It is a place where you can bring what you know while remaining open to discovering what you don't.
I believe most of us spend our lives building perspectives.
We learn from our experiences, form opinions, discover what we believe to be true, and over time, those perspectives become the way we understand the world.
But there is something we often forget: what we know may not be the whole picture.
A truth we have discovered may only be part of a larger truth.
A perspective that feels complete may be missing another point of view.
A lesson we have learned may be true for us, but not necessarily the entire story.
And sometimes, it takes just one conversation, one experience, or one new idea to make us realise that there was more to discover.
That is the idea behind D180.
I wanted to create a platform where more people could come forward and share the things they have discovered along the way: their learnings, insights, experiences, questions and perspectives.
But more importantly, I wanted to create a space where ideas are not simply presented and accepted. They can be explored, questioned and discussed.
I felt there were very few spaces built around this kind of open, authentic exchange, where people could bring what they know to the room while remaining open to discovering what they don’t.
D180 is my attempt to create that space.
A place where different perspectives can meet.
Where an idea can be challenged without being dismissed.
Where a discovery can lead to another discovery.
And where all of us can leave knowing a little more than we did before.
Because perhaps seeing the world differently does not always mean changing what we believe.
Sometimes, it simply means discovering that there was more to see.
D180 brings together people from different walks of life to share ideas, insights, experiences, knowledge and perspectives that invite us to look beyond the familiar. Through every conversation, we seek to help people question what they know, discover what they haven't considered and see the world in a new way.
We aspire to make curiosity a lifelong habit and new perspectives a catalyst for deeper understanding, better questions and meaningful change. We envision a world where people remain open to discovering what they don't know and willing to see beyond their own point of view.
